Enhancing Student Representation – 22nd March
Due to the popularity of our first event we have added an additional date for anybody involved in student rep support and training on 22nd March.
This one-day training programme is designed for those with a remit in training and supporting student representatives. The course is designed for delegates who are likely to have some prior experience in training design and delivery and have a particular interest in:
- Enhancing their training programme for student representatives to include developmental topics, such as personal development, campaigning and demystifying quality.
- Enhancing their training approach in terms of its inclusivity, considering the use of blended learning and in delivering confident and effective presentations.
- Enhancing their working practices in regards to evidencing the impact of representatives, building partnership approaches and developing solution focused approaches to challenges.
The event is open to all institutions and students’ unions in England, including non-affiliates to NUS. You can find out more about the event here.
Sessions will be interactive, practical and include opportunities to share good practice between delegates.
Takeaway handouts and materials will be provided to extend and reinforce learning and for you to adapt for your own institution. A certificate of attendance will also be provided which outlines the learning outcomes of the course. Finally, delegates will be invited to an online discussion group after the training course to enable ongoing dialogue between delegates. The course is based on a successful pilot programme TSEP delivered in July 2015 and we have developed the content based on feedback from delegates.
Register here to join our event in March.
